Oh I also got my check from BarBri today. I'm converting that $125 directly into the Bar Dues I feel I shouldn't be forced to pay since I can't get a goddamn job in the field. And it doesn't even quite cover it. Yeah baby.

I got my check as well, only mine was $175. And I am, indeed, using it to pay my bar dues as well. Along with the $280 in tips I have rolled up as emergency money, and the 25% reduction I qualify for since I made no money last year, I may even have some money leftover for...gas. Go us!

Why is everyone getting checks from BarBri?
Unless it's the deposit from the books. We had to return our books months before results came out, and I thought I'd failed, so I kept my books. I've been thinking about dropping them off at Half-Price Books or something like that. I wonder if I'd get anything for them....

You probably would get something for them, Tab. Sell them on craigslist. I knew someone who bought books from someone and self studied the entire time (and passed, hateful person).
And yes, these are our book deposits.
